Safety and Reliability Engineer (m/f)

As a member of the FTI Group, FTI Technologies GmbH employs a team of highly motivated and experienced engineers specialized in all aspects technical safety and reliability associated with complex aircraft and ground transportation systems. The team provides engineering services to a variety of system suppliers in these domains, primarily located in North America.
To accommodate new projects there is a continuous need for experienced Safety and Reliability Engineer (m/f)
Tasks
Being a member of integrated (international) project teams the candidate will be faced with challenging tasks in the development and certification of complex aircraft and/or ground transportation systems.
The list of activities includes:
- Execution of safety and reliability assessments using standard methods and tools
- Qualification of systems in compliance with applicable regulations and standards to ensure system safety
- Liaison with stakeholders (internal, external)
Profile
- MSc in Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
Basic professional competences:
- Profound knowledge in complex aircraft and/or high speed train systems
- A minimum of 10 years experience in one or both areas above
- Proven design, analytical and project management skills in one or both areas above
Strong background in at least three of the following:
- Safety & reliability analysis methods (FHA, EHA, FMEA, FTA, ETA, Reliability Prediction)
- Commercial safety & reliability analysis tools (Isograph, Relex)
- Safety standards in aviation (ARP 4761, ARP 4754, CS 25.1309, RTCA DO 178B, DO 254, etc.)
- Safety standards in the rail industry (IEC 61508, IEC 62236, IEC 60721, EN 50122, etc.)
- System development processes (requirements engineering, verification and validation of systems)
Personal competences:
- English and German (business fluent in reading and writing)
- Willingness to travel regularly and work at different domestic and overseas premises
- High accuracy and reliability
- Excellent social skills (the “independent” team player)
- Excellent capabilities to communicate with suppliers and customers
