

- BSc Peter Sprosson
Peter Sprosson has had a long and varied career in Aerospace. He is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Chartered Engineer. He graduated from Bristol University with a BSc degree in Aeronautical Engineering while on an undergraduate apprenticeship at what is now Airbus Filton. With Marconi Avionics for 18 years, Peter worked on design and flight trials of the Lynx helicopter flight control system and trials of the Tornado automatic flight control systems, Fly-by-Wire Jaguar and Typhoon prototype. Moving to Westland Helicopters Peter worked on the EH101 helicopter flight controls before taking a project management post at British Aerospace for training aids. He later became involved in safety management and reliability studies for a new naval frigate and obtained a diploma in Quality Improvement and System Reliability at City University, London. Moving into self-employment Peter went to CargoLifter in Brand, Germany, initially in S&R, then setting up and administering the DOORS requirement management system. He then moved to Rolls Royce, Dahlewitz, undertaking S&R work on a variety of development engine types for some years, followed by S&R work on an aircraft cargo handling and aerial extraction system, joining the FTI S&R Team in January 2009.
