Quick Deployment Telemetry System
The QDT is an intelligent sensor network system, that supersedes the use of cable joints for the transmission of data from sensors to receivers, even over large distances.
This becomes possible by a flexible transmission of sensors, arranged after one another, that transfer the measurements from one to another and to the router over any distance (“multi hop”). Due to an independent relay circuit, shields and resistances can be bypassed.
This intelligent sensor network, partially equipped with especially developed transmission protocols offers an extremely high quality of data. The exact definition of connections guarantees a detailed, highly stable data transfer with high compatibility and diverse possibilities for error correction.
The router is connected to an interface, from where the data can be transmitted to firmly installed computers as well as to mobile receiving units (PDAs). The latter are connected with the interface via a WLAN, which additionally increases the flexibility and the spectrum of possible applications of the complete system.
QDT sensors can easily be attached to almost any test point and reliably supply various information about their carrier in real time, such as its position, acceleration, temperature, etc.. The lack of unnecessary wiring decreases the risk of extreme signal disturbance of parallel wiring harnesses.
A further advantage derives from the ability to simultaneously process 125 different starting sensors as well as their sensor chains to the router.
The variety of possibilities of the QDT system especially qualify it for the flexible use of sensors on varying measuring points as well as for the aspired use of a mobile data acquisition option – a real alternative to conventional measuring systems.
